The Phoenix has:

Tilt in space (45 degrees) to allow for re-positioning for pressure care and comfort of the user. Elevating leg rest and recline are also standard.

Dartex multi stretch pressure management materials throughout all patient contact surfaces. This material is breathable with moisture permeability to ensure that the surface remains dry and comfortable for the user. This material can be wiped down for infection control and hygiene requirements.

Medium to high pressure management cushion, using memory foam. This cushion is removable for cleaning and if you wish to use a different type. An advantage of our memory foam cushions is they do not require maintenance or adjustment for each person, unlike a gel or air cushion. The cushion is also easily replaceable.

Adjustable seat width, foot plate height and seat depth allows the chair to fit the size and requirements of the user.

Adjustable head, neck and shoulder supports to accommodate complex postures.

The Phoenix can be highly customised for each user and made to order accessories are available. We provide a full seating assessment and chair trial to determine your individual requirements.

• Ramped Seat Cushion
  
  An angled seat cushion to increase the angle of the seat base, discouraging sliding from the seat.
• Pressure Management Arms
  
  A combination of Visco memory foam and dartex multi stretch fabric for those with a risk of pressure injury on the arms & hips.
• Padded Arm Covers (1", 2")
  
  These further reduce the width of the chair to accommodate users with particularly narrow hip widths. The amount of padding is variable and these can be removed to suit the needs of multiple users.
• Removeable Seat Cover
  
  Instrumental in keeping the chair clean and adhering to infection control protocols, especially with clients who suffer from incontinence. they can be removed and sterilized or replaced as necessary.
• Removable Arm Covers
  
  Instrumental in keeping the chair clean and adhering to infection control protocols, especially with clients who suffer from incontinence. They can be removed and sterilized or replaced as necessary.
• Lateral Supports
  
  These pressure redistributing supports are used for those needing thoracic/trunk support and helps reduce development or further deterioration of scoliosis, as well as promoting midline sitting for those that tend to lean to one side.
• Leg Laterals
  
  Helpful for clients whose legs abduct and externally rotate. They protect the feet from injury or objects in the path of chair movement. They also help to keep the feet supported on the footplate.
• Padded Footplate (1", 2")
  
  Padding can be incorporated into the footplate of the chair for additional pressure management, to accommodate or improve foot position or to further decrease the seat-to-footplate height for individual users.
• Leg Rest Wedge
  
  Some patients with oedema or swelling wish to elevate their legs higher than normal which can be aided by the legrest wedge.
• Seat Belt
  
  Provides additional safety during transit as well as providing a form of support for those who may have a tendency to slide out of their chairs or suffer from seizures. It is only to be used in accordance with facility or local regulations regarding restraint.
• Padded Seat Belt Cover

• Tray Table
  
  A tray for meals, positioning support and facilitation of activities. The tray table should only be used in accordance with facility or local regulations regarding restraint.
• 4 Braked Castors On Chair
  
  To help keep the chair stationary, 4 braked castors can be added to the chair frame at time of ordering in retrospect. Brakes can be engaged from the front or the back of the chair.
• NexTier Cushion
  
  Used for patients with high pressure injury risks, the NexTier pressure cushion offers an increased level of comfort & protection. An anti-shear, 3-tiered cushion that moves with the body to help reduce shear & friction.
• AirTier Cushion
  
  The AirTier pressure cushion circulates air when pressure is applied to each of the interconnected cells, redistributing weight evenly, reducing high pressure concentrations around bony prominences.
